Intake Primary Academy

Sidney Road

Doncaster

DN2 6EW

Start date: September 2018 or as soon as possible.

Intake Primary Academy are looking for ambitious and motivated Primary Teachers to join our committed Academy team. We have two opportunities; one in Key Stage 1 and one in Key Stage 2. Applications from NQTs are also warmly welcomed.

The Astrea Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust which is committed to inspiring beyond measure. Our Academies – primary, secondary and all-through – do not subscribe to the ‘schooling’ stance of a results-driven philosophy but rather state emphatically that education is about much more than just attainment.

If you are motivated by contributing to a culture of constant improvement, and if you are seeking to improve outcomes for young people in a dynamic and growing Academy Trust, then we would love to hear from you.

Candidates will need to demonstrate:

  • that they are a proven excellent classroom practitioner, with the ability to inspire and motivate children to achieve their full potential.
  • be full of enthusiasm and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively to secure the best outcomes for all children
  • a strong commitment to inclusive practice.
  • experience of raising attainment
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • they are well organised and motivated
  • they are creative, forward thinking, innovative and prepared to take risks
  • they will actively develop positive relationships with parents and carers
  • a sense of fun and a strong desire to achieve
  • be able to use their initiative.

In return, we can offer:

  • fantastic children
  • the opportunity to work in a vibrant, professional learning community that seeks excellence
  • a commitment to continuing professional development, with opportunities to lead an area of strength in the school
  • a supportive and friendly team.

The Trust is committed to high quality professional development and career opportunities for all staff as we are passionate about cultivating our own talented workforce. At Astrea we believe that we can provide these unique roles by providing a huge opportunity to join a dynamic and rapidly expanding team. For the right candidate there is also the opportunity for Leadership training and development and the prospect to network with other Academies within the trust.

With twenty academies within the group across South Yorkshire and Cambridgeshire, plus the purpose built, all-though Astrea Academy Sheffield due to open in September 2018, the Trust continues to grow and inspire beyond measure. To complement the intrinsic rewards which we award to our teachers and to demonstrate our commitment to them, in September 2017 the Astrea Academy Trust awarded all teaching staff a 2% pay increase which was above the recommended increase of 1% from the School Teachers Review Body.

We welcome all applicants who meet the criteria in the accompanying recruitment pack to apply for this exciting role. Please state in your application your location preference if you have one. Please note that any form of application other than that on an Astrea Academy Trust Application form will be rejected. Application forms can be requesting by contacting recruitment@astreaacademytrust.org

Closing date for applications: 22nd June 2018

Interviews: 29th June 2018
