This is a temporary post until 31st March 2021

We are passionate about our Place and we firmly believe we have one of the strongest propositions in the country. Building on the strengths of being the UK’s best connected location, Doncaster is transforming the way it looks and feels. Anyone joining our council can look forward to working for a confident, ambitious organisation with big plans to develop further and deliver for our residents, workforce and visitors.

Doncaster has been successful in becoming one of only 12 of Sport England’s Local Delivery Pilot (LDP) sites to pioneer bold new approaches to build more active communities. Doncaster’s pilot will encourage wider, collaborative partnerships which look at how all parts of a community can better work together to help the most inactive.

These are exciting times for Doncaster and in particular the physical activity and sport arena. This post will be responsible for the maximising outcomes of Doncaster’s LDP programme plan. It will involve working closely with the Get Doncaster Moving Board, Sport England’s Local Contact Manager, LDP Strategic Leads and partners to achieve a whole systems approach to addressing inactivity.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a passion for tackling inactivity using a place based approach.

Further details about the responsibilities and requirements of the role are contained in the job profile and role summary.

In return for your hard work and dedication, we can offer you the chance to be part of a great team dedicated to ensuring that all people in Doncaster thrive. You will also have access to a variety of attractive employee benefits including competitive leave entitlement, local government pension scheme and access to a range of staff discount and flexible benefits schemes. Visit our Working in Doncaster page to find out more.

Shortlisting will take place week commencing 3rd September 2018 and it is anticipated that interviews will be held on 11th September 2018.
