In this post, you will make a significant contribution to improving the life chances of all Doncaster’s children through ensuring effective partnership working between schools.  You will be part of a directorate and standards and effectiveness team who are outcome focused and committed to making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.  This is an influential role, embedded within the school improvement and inclusion strategies, and you will lead the development of key elements of the Learning aspect of the Doncaster Growing Together programme, including supporting the work of the Social Mobility Opportunities Area to ensure that disadvantaged pupils make the best possible start in life.

You will lead the development of an EAL strategy and challenge underperformance across all education settings and phases.

Through this role, you will make a significant contribution to improving the life chances of all Doncaster’s children through ensuring effective partnership working between schools.

You will undertake a significant school improvement role through analysing standards and effectiveness of provision in schools and managing high-impact intervention strategies. 

You will develop and promote best practice around the education of pupils with English as an additional language.

As a member of the management team, you will act as a strategic commissioner to deliver improved outcomes for children and young people in Doncaster.
