Learning Central is one of four Learning Centres which work across the Borough initially to serve Key Stage 3 pupils with Behavioural, Emotional and Social needs.  The staff employed for the learning centre provide in-centre and outreach support for all of their partnership schools.  The Central Partnership of schools includes Hall Cross Academy, Armthorpe Academy, Danum Academy and Outwood Academy and together they have established the Central Learning Centre. 

We are wishing to appoint an Inclusion Support Workers, to be employed by Hall Cross, based at Learning Central and linking with all partner schools.  We are looking for someone to provide high quality support for individuals and groups of children.  

INCLUSION SUPPORT WORKER – CENTRAL LEARNING CENTRE

Term time plus 2 weeks, 37 hours per week

We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated person to support targeted individuals and groups of learners who have been experiencing difficulty in behaving appropriately in mainstream learning across KS3 and KS4.  The Inclusion Support Worker will work with staff, agencies and families to provide support and guidance to identified pupils and those engaged with them, removing barriers to learning in order to achieve rapid and successful integration to and from the Learning Centre and mainstream education at KS3. As well as promoting effective participation, enhance individual learning, raise aspirations and achieve full potential in KS4.  This is a term time post initially until 31st August 2019. 

Hall Cross Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check. 

Closing date for applications is Monday 24th September at 12 noon.  Interviews will take place on Monday 1st October.
