15 hours per week, 3:00pm-6:00pm Monday-Friday (lettings in addition to these hours)

Hayfield Lane Primary School is seeking to appoint a caretaker to commence in September 2018. We require a person with a flexible approach to provide an efficient and effective caretaking service. The post holder will be expected to be on duty during term time and any absence (other than sick leave) must be agreed with the Head Teacher/Business Manager giving 1 months’ notice.     

The successful applicant will be responsible for the general care and maintenance of the school building, grounds and related energy factors. The main duties will involve:-

  • Security of school site and buildings – including responding to alarm callouts
    • Operation of heating, lighting and water systems
    • Day to day maintenance of the site and premises including minor repairs
    • Cleaning duties
    • Health and Safety Responsibilities
    • School lettings, including evenings and weekends if required 

The role requires a willingness to be involved as part of the school team, committed to providing good working conditions for the staff and children of the school.
